While they already had an app with a loyalty program, they sought something extra—something fun and engaging that would motivate customers to return weekly. Collaborating with tech partner Apadmi and XIS Agency, they developed an exciting solution: the spinwheel game! This thrilling game lets customers win prizes and loyalty points every week, redeemable directly in-store.

To drive customer engagement, XIS Agency proposed weekly campaigns. Every Wednesday, users of the Poundland app can spin the wheel for a chance to win prizes and points. This fun mix of gameplay and rewards encourages customers to return frequently, reinforcing their loyalty to Poundland.
The spinwheel experience: step by step
1. A user-friendly spinwheel
Together with Apadmi, XIS developed an easy-to-use Spinwheel game powered by APIs. This ensures that vouchers and loyalty points won are instantly added to users’ accounts—no hassle, just instant rewards!
2. Weekly spinwheel wednesdays
Wednesday is the dedicated Spinwheel day. Customers receive reminders via the app, email, and social media to try their luck. By choosing a consistent weekly schedule, customers always know when the Spinwheel is available. Wednesdays become a celebration in the app!
3. Automated prize distribution
With seamless API integration, prizes and points are distributed automatically. Customers see their rewards immediately and can use them right away, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.
4. Smart analytics and continuous improvement
XIS analyzes the results of each Spinwheel round. By reviewing usage data and engagement metrics from the Apadmi integration, they continuously refine the campaign to meet customer preferences. Poundland gains valuable insights, such as the number of returning users and how many vouchers are redeemed.
